MEET THE TEAM
Tammy Wilson
Executive Director
Jason Kitson
Program Director
Tammy joined The Vault staff in October of 2019. Previously, she worked as a literacy specialist and ESL teacher for Richland Community College. Prior to that, she served as the theatre director for both Clinton High School and Decatur Christian School. Her love for teaching, teens, and telling people what to do have found a perfect home in her position as Executive Director at The Vault. Oh, and she loves jelly donuts, dogs, dark chocolate, and alliteration.
Jason was one of the first supporters of The Vault way back in 2016 when The Vault was just getting started. He joined our staff in the summer of 2021 alongside his wife, McKenna. What a full circle moment! When Jason isn't planning our awesome programs, he likes to spend his time watching a good movie (Marvel all the way), spending time with his family and friends, or playing outside with his two dogs. He's also our chess expert. Challenge him at a game at your own risk.
Wendy DeMent
Director of Marketing and Finance
Wendy became involved with The Vault in 2017 as a volunteer on the fundraising committee and later joined the staff in the summer of 2019. Wendy is married with four children, a dog, and a cat. She enjoys beach vacations, singing Taylor Swift songs with her youngest, and amateur cat photography. Her lifelong dream is to be welcomed into a room with a confetti cannon.
Kaitlin Burton
Programming Assistant
Kaitlin is a junior at Illinois State University who has recently begun working at The Vault's new Program Assistant! She is no stranger to The Vault as she was very involved during her high school years serving as a Student Ambassador, cafe volunteer, and Student Cafe Manager. We are so excited to welcome her back to assist us with our program set-up, clean-up, and everything in between!
